The sun is out and the weekend is finally upon us - a long long week draws to a satisfactory close.
Today has been a good day for Mr Mum and the kids, we dropped Megs successfully at school with her scooter (scooter club after school on Fridays) and then came home for a bit of art work before heading out to the shops for a few bits and bobs.
After lunch and sleeps (Rosie, not me), it was round to Ts for a coffee afternoon. It doesn't have the same ring to it as coffee mornings - why is that? do mums not meet up in the afternoons, or perhaps its called something different. Anyway, I am waffling - we had a good time round there, the kids played happily (most of the time) and I got to talk to an adult for a while (well, I say an adult....).
T and I then made our way to school, during which time Rosie lost one shoe, which we caught, then a sock, which we caught. However, when we got to school it became apparent Rosie has slipped off the other shoe and sock without us spotting it so a search party was quickly set up to find the missing items. We enlisted the kids and before too long they were both found safe and sound and returned to Rosie's foot.
It was then scooter club which was fun, Megs and her mates disappeared, while Rosie negotiated her way round the playground on Emma's scooter, falling over every so often, luckily there were plenty of mums to pick her up again!
We then came home for another Mr Mum recipe, Mr Mum's Pizza Supreme. The recipe will be in the book so I wont share it with you now, but it went down well so cant be too bad! There was then some playing in the garden and bed.
Before I go, a couple of other things I wanted to rant about / discuss with my Mumsters.
Firstly, I had the "privilege" of hearing Justin Beiber sing today, not in person you understand - I am not as lucky as Megan's mate who "kissed him on stage", but I got to hear his voice for the very first time and I have got to tell you, I am not impressed. Why has he got such a following? Ive heard better singing from Take That, and that's saying something!!
Secondly, I saw a car advertised for sale on the side of the road today, it had a big poster in the window detailing all the positives about the car. What amazed me was the number one item on the list "two lady owners" - now, is that even a selling point, never mind number one on the list?!?! In my experience lady owners are not always a good thing for a car, the gearbox will be exhausted and I am sure there will be a few dents on the bodywork! I discussed this with T on the way to school and thought maybe I was being a bit over critical of lady owners, but I didn't need to worry as at that very moment, T managed to crash her buggy into a lamp post!!! Case closed.
Finally, its the Easter Fair tomorrow at school, which is great - I will be helping out where I can but why was it scheduled on the same day as the cricket world cup final?!?!?
Oh well, I think thats me just about done for the day - I hope all my Mumsters are ok out there, have a good weekend wherever you are and lets all catch up on Monday for a bit more gossip, although its a bit one way, so feel free to comment on the blogs - it works now!
