The countdown has begun....

Today was an emotional day at camp Mr Mum.......as we are in our last week as Mr Mum (for the time being) we are slowly having to say Goodbye and Thanks to all the classes we have been to and all the lasting relationships we have built up.

Today it was the turn of the last Jo Jingles class and Dancing class.  very sad day.  The day started well, with everything in place - dropped Megs and scooter to school, quick chat with some of the Mumsters and then off to Jo Jingles music class, had a good time there until we lost Rosie (only temporary, she always finds her way back!), other than that all good - nice little sing-a-long followed by a play in the soft play area.

Quick stop at the supermarket for some essentials before home and lunch.

Brief pit stop then back to school to pick up Megs and off to Dance classes.  I wont bore you with the details, actually sod it, yes I will.  Emma starts dancing at 3.30, Megan pick up is 3.15 so you do the maths - we need swiss timing precision to get to dancing in time.  This is how to achieve it:

- leave house at 2.45 by car - NEVER by foot, no way is there enough time for walking
- park at the back of the school, carefully facing the correct way for fast getaway
- be at Megs classroom by 3.15 making sure to have unlocked scooter beforehand (wastes valuable minutes otherwise)
- give Megs 2 mins to spin round the playground with her mates (if you dont you will pay for it later it moaning)
- get back to car and start your engine
- chuck the kids in the car (hopefully with seatbelts on)
- GO GO GO
- arrive at dance class at 3.28
- pull emma out of car, and make a break for it
- drop her off - tears or no tears
- back to car for Megs and Rosie (Megs getting changed while I am dropping Emma off)
- everyone inside for a sit down and biscuit ready for Megs 4pm class
- Relax over a nice glass of wine with the Mumsters (I made the wine up, we never have wine - its normally champagne!)

So if you are ever at the same school as my kids and need to get to the same dance class, you will be ok with my handy hints!

Then it was home, tea, spelling test, run around the garden, bit of tv and bed.

The last Monday of my reign draws to a close, yes theres been some tough Mondays in the past but I will miss you Monday, you have always kept me on my toes and given me a challenging day - god bless you, I will never forget you.

Couple of footnotes.  It has been commented on the blog by one of my overseas Mumsters (america) that it is I who is in fact in love with Justin Beiber and not the children.  I would like to put a stop to these rumours before they travel the globe.  I have and never will have any emotional times with Mr Beiber other than my frustration / anger over his floppy hair.  Mr Beiber will never be a part of my life and I am doing what I can to block all contact between my kids and Mr Beiber.  So far so good.

Secondly, with our second P.A.B. meeting tomorrow (parents at bars), I wanted to remind you all to set up your local PAB meetings and report back on how they went.  I expect they are already happening globally but I would like to hear about them.

Finally, as this is my final week (did I mention that!?!), I wanted to share a few handy tips with you, just in case you are ever thrown into this position or maybe already are in this position.  Starting today I will be providing my 5 essential Mr Mum tips.  Take them, use them, circulate them, do as you wish - but never ever blame me for them!

Tip Number 5:

Dont be too proud to ask for help -   There have been times, through the last 5 weeks when even Mr Mum has required help and assistance to keep going.  Sometimes things get too much or you are in some sort of emergency and desperately need help from someone.

There was the time, just last week, when I was at the end of my tether, I didn't know where to turn or what to do, the reason -  I had run out of cake - yes thats right, I ran out of cake! but no problems, tapped into the Mumster network and before you know it 4 chocolate brownies had arrived.  This is what I am talking about people, never be too scared to ask for help in times of crisis.

Top Tip number 4 will be tomorrow.  Laters people.
