Guess what - I have managed to actually upload a post on the day of the events - how good am I !!!
Wednesday, the middle of the week, its the top of the hill before the free wheel down to the weekend...
Starts off with the usual, Megs goes to school and Emma does a half day at Pre-school, while Rosie and I while away the hours with some stimulating and intellectual conversation, normally around hot topics of the day, like why did Peppa Pig not invite her brother to the party? or when am I going to get a biscuit?
So after dropping them off Rosie and I came home and I polished off the ironing while Rosie caught up with the latest coming and goings in Humf!! Before we knew it, we were on our way back to school to pick Emma up. Today I thought we would try something a little different, instead of taking the buggy, we decided to scoot to school and take Emma's scooter so she could scoot home. In theory this was a good idea, it frees us up from the constraints of a buggy and allows Rosie a scoot. In practice, it was a whole different ball game!
Rosie thought it would be quite funny to scoot ahead forcing me to run after her, this was hilarious the first time, reasonably funny the second but by the fifth time, it was anything but funny! This coupled with her falling off her scooter about 10 times made for a pleasant experience!
We finally picked Emma up and started the trek home. We bumped into Megs, H and R on the playground, so they took it in turns for their obligatory cuddle with Rosie before we headed off home. With my patience running out we finally made it home and had some lunch.
Rosie then went for her lunchtime nap. My, that would be nice. Just imagine having an hour at lunchtime when you can go to bed and relax.....hang on a minute - isn't that what they do in Europe?!?!? Memo to Mr Mum - move to Spain immediately!
After lunch and sleeps we took our weekly trip to the supermarket. A joyous occasion with two kids, neither of which wanted to go in the trolley. I finally persuaded Emma to get in but Rosie thought it was much more fun to hang on to the side or simply push the trolley around in circles until she hit someone or something.
Rosie soon got bored of this game, so by about aisle 8 I was spending most of my time looking for her. It was quite easy to find her, just follow her trail - go beyond the packets of crisps that had been spilled all over the aisle, jump over the biscuits, which at one point were in a nice display, but sadly now they were looking rather sorry for themselves spread across the floor, around the end of aisle display of cakes, which were now squashed and upside down and then listen out for the screams - there was Rosie!! She left quite a trail of destruction today so I was glad to get through the tills and out of there!
As Megan was at Gymnastics tonight we had a little longer at home so the two of them decided to build a camp under the trampoline - guess who will be clearing that up later!!
Then it was back to school to pick Megs up, I decided to brave the scooters again, this time with both Emma and Rosie on scooters - mad? quite possibly, didnt quite go to plan but we finally made it into school and grabbed Megs and her scooter and off we went again. We hadnt even left the school grounds before two out of three were crying! how well did that go?? it took forever to get home, tomorrow we will definitely be using the buggy!
Quick dinner (fajitas) before taking Megs to Brownies with P. Then it was home, other kids to bed and time for a well earned glass of wine.........see ya tomorrow mumsters.
